PRESS RELEASE

PAGE RECYCLING PROGRAM TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

The City of Page's curbside recycling progrm has been temporarily suspended. In a decision driven by the steady decline in recycling markets, the facility which processed Page's recyclables, Rocky Mountain Recycling, is no longer accepting curbside recycling from any municipality, effective July 22, 2019. City officials are currently exploring viable, cost effective alternatives for managing the city's recyclables.

In the meantime, the recyclables will be handled as trash. Republic Services will continue to accept clean, dry cardboard dropped off at their local transfer station. Therefore, all residents should discontinue using the green recycling cans effective August 30, 2019. Residents may place the blue trash receptacles on the curb for pickup twice per week; once on the regular trash pickup day and again on the day that the recyclables were previously picked up.

Residents are encouraged to check back here (City Announcements) for further updates.
