Short-Term Rental
Regulations

The City of Page requires vacation rentals and short term rentals to obtain an annual license and follow local health, safety, advertising and neighborhood notification requirements. This page provides a plain language overview of the requirements in Chapter 113 of the City Code.

License required beginning September 1, 2026

A separate City of Page vacation rental license is required for every house or rental dwelling unit used as a short-term rental. Operating without a current license may result in a fine of at least $1,000 per violation.

Grace Period: December 15, 2026

To help property owners transition to the new licensing program, the City will allow a grace period through December 15, 2026. Owners should submit their applications before this date to avoid enforcement.

Annual license required

Each short-term rental property must have its own license. Licenses are valid for one year and cannot be transferred to another person or property.

24-hour emergency contact

Owners must provide a real person who can be contacted 24 hours a day and respond in person during an emergency.

Liability insurance

Each rental must have at least $500,000 in liability coverage, either through the owner or an eligible online lodging platform.

Notify nearby neighbors

Before renting the property for the first time, owners must provide written notice to nearby residential properties and all units in multifamily buildings.
