Arizona America250 Commission Announces Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum

Mobile exhibition, made possible by Banner Health and other generous community partners, will visit all 15 Arizona counties beginning February 14

PHOENIX, AZ (January 26, 2026) – As Arizona commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, the Arizona America250 Commission announced today the Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum presented by Banner Health, a mobile exhibition that will tour all 15 counties, kicking off on February 14, 2026 in Prescott, the original capital of the Arizona Territory on Statehood Day.

Housed in a custom-retrofitted trailer through MRA Mobile Experiential, the Arizona Traveling Museum is designed to generate enthusiasm and civic pride in celebration of the 250th milestone, bringing history, storytelling, and civic reflection directly to cities, towns, and rural communities across the state. From Nogales to Page and everywhere in between, the stops will be added to the community calendar at america250az.org/events or follow on social media for latest information.

“Road to 250 is about making this milestone accessible to every Arizonan,” said Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, chair of the Arizona America250 Commission. “By traveling to communities across the state, this museum invites people to reflect on our shared history, celebrate Arizona’s role in America’s story, and consider how each of us contributes to the next chapter of our democracy.”

Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum blends national history with Arizona’s unique story through immersive panels, a short looping video experience, and interactive activations for all ages. The exhibit explores defining moments in American history alongside the people, cultures, and communities that shaped Arizona, while inviting visitors to participate by sharing their own stories through the Dear America, Love Arizona postcard activity. Select stops may feature additional activations from municipal hosts and community partners including Banner Health.

“Banner Health is proud to celebrate the resilience of the United States as the presenting sponsor of Arizona America250—a strength built through service, perseverance, and care for one another,” said Amy Perry, President & CEO. “Our 60,000 Banner team members reflects that same enduring spirit, showing up every day with compassion and dedication to care for people across Arizona.”

The centerpiece of the traveling museum is a replica of the Liberty Bell, one of a limited number located across the country. The bell, which typically resides at the Arizona State Capitol, will travel aboard the museum as a powerful symbol of freedom, independence, and civic responsibility – offering visitors across the state a rare opportunity to experience this iconic representation of America’s founding ideals up close.

Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum will make dozens of stops statewide, partnering with local communities, libraries, and civic organizations. Admission is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of Banner Health, APS, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, SRP, Freeport McMoran and many other sponsors. Below is the full list of museum stops, but stay tuned to america250az.org/events and follow @America250AZ on social media for most current times and locations.
