I just saw a recent social media post about a data center being considered for development in the city of page. The post said on the website said that it will post more announcements after the holidays but I was wondering when will be the town meetings to oppose the proposal? I would like to write and present the environmental dangers of what the data center will bring to the southwest. Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. As the process moves forward, opportunities for public input will be provided as part of the required re-zone process. Information about when those opportunities will occur and how to participate will be shared after the holidays on the City’s website and through official City communications. Does the city of page plan on limiting the amount Airbnb/VRBOs any time soon? There is literally no housing options anymore.

Under Arizona Senate Bill 1350, cities are not permitted to cap or prohibit short-term rentals such as Airbnb or VRBO. As a result, the City of Page does not have the legal authority to limit the number of short-term rentals. The City does require short-term rental operators to obtain a business registration and comply with applicable regulations. The City is actively exploring options to support housing availability for residents.
