Given that the city has openly stated that a majority of it’s financial stability comes from consistent tourism are you comfortable knowing that if anything- especially a building as large as a data center- is built on that site it will completely decimate the tourist industry for the entire area? The landscape is literally flat and you would be able to see it for miles not to mention it will completely ruin the aesthetic of horseshoe bend and the surrounding landscape. How are your residents supposed to trust decisions being made regarding this issue when it is being shown that environmental preservation and the wellbeing of their community is clearly not in the city’s priority list?
Tourism remains foundational to Page’s economy and identity, and the City is not seeking to replace or move away from it. At this time, no final site location, building design, elevations, or visual analysis has been approved, and conclusions about visual impacts or effects on tourism would be speculative. Many future project details would be subject to separate development review and approvals before any development could occur.

The project must complete the subdivision review process before construction can begin. At this time, the approval process is expected to take approximately one year.

Why doesn’t the street sweeper ever come down my street?
The City schedules street sweeping based on established routes and maintenance priorities, which typically focus on arterial and collector roadways, as well as areas with higher traffic volumes. Residential streets are not always included in the routine sweeping schedule. However, Public Works may provide service in residential areas on an as-needed basis, such as after storms, construction activity, or other conditions that create excess debris. Residents who have concerns about a specific street can contact the Public Works Department to request an evaluation.

Where are the banners acknowledging the entities that sponsor the ball teams this year? Normally they are hung at the fields both sports complex and Birch Circle as part of agreeing to sponsor a team. I see sponsor names on the kids shirts but no banners at the fields. The season is almost over isn’t the city supposed to handle this?
Thank you for your question. Sponsorship banners are managed directly by the local Little League organization rather than the City. The City provides the fields for use, but does not coordinate or install sponsor banners. At this time, banners are hung within the sports complex, and placement and timing are determined by Little League. If you have specific questions regarding banner visibility or placement, you may contact the Little League directly for more information.

What agencies/entities have access to the flock cameras that have been put up around town?
Access to our Flock cameras is limited to Arizona law enforcement agencies and our regional law enforcement partners, such as Kane County, Utah. Any other agency must request permission before we allow access. To consider a request, the requesting agency must have a law enforcement report number documenting the incident and justification for the request. If there is no report number included, the request is denied.
