Resolution 1322-24 Adopted

During the regular City Council Meeting on August 7, 2024, City Council adopted Resolution 1322-24 which authorized and approved the wired telecommunications license and right-of-way use agreement between the City of Page and South Central Communications (SCC). The updated agreement allows for SCC to utilize city rights of way for its wired infrastructure and allows for two options for payment for
the right to occupy the right of way:

1. SCC will install, maintain and repair fiber to several city buildings without fiber connections. The value of these improvements are estimated by staff to be roughly $2MM.

2. In the alternative, SCC will annually pay $0.75 per linear foot of wired infrastructure in our right of way. They have roughly 110,000 feet of wires resulting in an annual payment of approximately $82,500.

SCC intends to elect option 1 and install the fiber in lieu of an annual payment. More information about the City Council Meeting from August 7, 2024, is available at https://cityofpage.org/government/public-meetings/
